We Deserve Better. Enough is Enough.

What a year this has been— and it’s not even over.

We’ve been overwhelmed by the COVID- 19 pandemic, the prevalence of police brutality, deplorable actions of country leaders who have attempted to stifle the voice of its own citizens and sought to infringe on their right to protest.

We are overwhelmed.

In our own country, rape and sexual assault is on the rise. More than 1000 rape cases have been reported in Liberia since January, with no legal consequences for these abusers.

Rape is and will always be unacceptable and must never, ever go unpunished.

Although we will never forget 2020, we must ensure that our response to injustice and tragedy leaves a legacy worth remembering.

We are resilient.

It’s our time to use our votes and our voices to demand the change we hope to see in our country and our world.

The Liberian Collective urges you to stay safe, stay healthy and self care.

We also congratulate you on demanding social change.

From our need for more devastating hashtags to the implantation of harsh policies by unjust government entities …

Enough is enough.
