Welcome To The Liberian Collective!

“Who are your parents?”

You know that question. Here’s why it matters.

If you’re a native of anywhere outside the country of Liberia, you’ve had that moment when you’ve heard the accent, heard a name, or seen a post of someone at so-and so’s wedding and thought, “Oh Wow! I think that person is Liberian!”

If you are fortunate to live in Liberia, you may have felt the pull of connecting to friends and family who’ve relocated to different parts of the world. Friends and family who often hold a strong desire to stay connected to their true home.

No matter where you live, we want to foster the connections between Liberians. We want our culture to shine and our country to prosper.

When you decide to join The Liberian Collective, you’re committing to coming home with every click. Whether you find us on Instagram, Facebook, or right here on a site, staying connected allows us to build community together.

Let’s network. Let’s give back. Let’s socialize. Let’s do all the things Liberians do best.

In light of the COVID 19 pandemic, we are committed to recognizing the health and safety of our community and putting those needs first. We’ll start slow.

Slow, but never lazy.

Together we have the opportunity to use virtual platforms to expand our reach. We know Liberians are everywhere and we’re determined to connect everyone and anyone.

This platform is made to be and feel inclusive. We’ll maintain a respectful community without being elitist. We’ll balance elevating the stories of Liberians while delivering information about the social and economic changes that impact our people. We raise our voices to call out social injustices and support the businesses founded and run by our very own.

We are committed our power for the betterment of our culture, country and ourselves.

At The Liberian Collective, we believe that when we unite, regardless of the setting, it’s powerful.

We welcome you to a new intergenerational space made for Liberians everywhere to thrive.
